Our Story
Made for the Women Who Ride
Western denim built by someone who’s lived in it — from the arena to the everyday.
She’s Been in the Arena Since She Was Seven
Steinmetz Co. didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in the barns, the arenas, and the long hauls down the road.
Elva Steinmetz has been part of rodeo and the western world since she was seven years old — growing up competing, spending countless hours in the saddle, and living out of a pair of jeans the way real western women do. More than a decade in the arena taught her exactly what a working pair of denim has to survive.
It also taught her what women were up against every time they went shopping for it: sizing that never matched from one pair to the next. Inseams cut too short for anyone with real legs. Denim that wore out too fast — at a price that kept climbing.
She lived the problem. So she built the fix.
Why We Started
For years, the western industry told women the same story: quality denim keeps getting more expensive, and the affordable stuff gives up on fit, durability, and style.
Elva didn’t buy it. After more than a decade in rodeo, she understood exactly what women needed from a pair of jeans — because she needed it herself. So the goal was simple: build high-quality western denim that everyday women could actually afford.
Not a luxury product for a lucky few. A brand a whole generation of women could live in.
No inconsistent sizing. No inseams cut for someone else. No denim that quits by the season’s end. Just honest western jeans, built to fit and built to last.
Every fit is designed with real western women in mind — rodeo athletes and ranch wives, college students and working moms. The women who actually put their clothes to work.
Better, Not Cheaper
Affordability was never about cutting corners. It was about making a better product reach more people.
Steinmetz Co. was built on one belief: great-fitting jeans shouldn’t be a luxury item. That’s the whole idea. That’s the whole mission.
Make Jeans Affordable Again.
“I didn’t want to build a denim brand that only a handful of people could afford. I’d rather see thousands of women wearing Steinmetz jeans every day than create an exclusive product that most people could never justify buying. My goal has always been simple: make quality western denim accessible to the women who actually live in it.”
— Elva Steinmetz, Founder of Steinmetz Co.
